This sub-category is for workers who have been hired by a PEI employers. That is workers hired by PEI employers may provide support for theses workers to obtain residency permanent to Canada via PEI the PNP Skilled Worker Stream. Eligible applicants will work in a skilled profession and possess relevant experience and at least a post-secondary degree or diploma.

This is for foreign workers who have already been hired by Prince Edward Island Employers and also setup to support the foreign workers so they can obtain permanent residency. Applicants who are eligible can work in a semi-skilled or unskilled profession.

Under this stream, graduates from accredited PEI universities and colleges recruited by a PEI employer may qualify to work in a skilled profession in their respective field of study.

With respect to this stream, the individuals will be take full ownership of their business, either the beginning of a new business or the buying of an old business in the province.

The investors will gain at least one-third of the business, or will invest $1,000,000 CAD in the capital of a business. An individual may be eligible to apply for this category, in case he/she has more than 1/3 of the the equity in the business and also meets the required criteria to setup and run a business equity in the business.

This stream target individuals seeking to invest in a business in order to transfer to PEI on a work permit before receiving provincial nomination. During the work permit processing period the expectation is that applicants can commence work in Canada and learn about the business for which he or she will be investing in.
