Mobilité Francophone program allows Francophone or bilingual skilled workers to work in Canada outside the province of Quebec without a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) since June 1, 2016.
Therefore, the hiring company does not require to pay the CAD $1,000 LMIA application fee. However, employers will have to submit offer of employment on their Employer portal if the French-speaking or bilingual skilled candidate is exempt from the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
A French-speaking or bilingual skilled worker may apply to be hired under Mobilité Francophone program if the person is fluent in French and uses French as a usual language on a daily basis, has proof that he is eligible for the skilled position and agrees to live and work outside of Quebec. It is upto the Visa Officer’s preference to assess the applicant’s French language capability.
