Self-employed

The Canadian government offers immigration programs for individuals who will become self-employed in Canada. To qualify as a self-employed person, the candidate will have to have relevant experience, and be able to be self-employed in Canada, meet the selection criteria based on the experience, education, age, language abilities for self-employed people, and meet medical, security and other conditions.
The Quebec Self-Employed category of Canadian immigration was designed to allow qualified individuals the opportunity to obtain Canadian permanent residence provided that they can effectively establish themselves in the Province of Quebec by practicing a trade or profession for their own account.
