Quebec Selected skilled workers
The Province of Quebec has its own different set of regulations to assess and select immigrant who will become economically settled and will adapt well to living there. This immigration stream is called Quebec’s Regular Skilled Worker Program or the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP).
The Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) has a two phases application procedure:
The applicant will have to apply for a certificate of selection (Certificat de sélection du Québec) to the Quebec government to get selected as an immigrant.
If the applicant has been selected by the Quebec government, he will then have to apply to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for permanent residence. This procedure will be completed with a medical examination and security clearance or police check (certificate) just like any other permanent residency application in Canada.
