Caring for People with High Medical Needs Pathway
The applicant may be eligible to apply for permanent residence through the Caring for People with High Medical Needs Pathway if he has a minimum of two years (within the past four years) of full-time work experience (at least 30 hours of paid work per week) in Canada as a registered nurse, registered psychiatric nurse, licensed practical nurse, nurse aide, orderly, patient service associate, home support worker, or other similar occupation, with a valid work permit.
The applicant’s work history must meet the description in the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) Group as the elderly or those with disabilities or chronic disease in a health facility or in a home care provider. The candidate will also have to prove his minimum benchmark of language ability for either English or French. Also the candidate needs to prove that either he has completed Canadian post-secondary education credential of at least one year or or equivalent foreign credential.
